Director of Operations (full time)
 
The Big Quiz Thing, America’s premier provider of corporate and private trivia events, is looking for a new Director of Operations. Our excellent team is in need of someone to sharpen us into the ultimate trivia-production team, overseeing daily operations, coordinating longer-term projects, and supervising new hires. We’re in search of an excellent leader, someone skilled at turning a creative project into an efficient and growth-oriented business.
 
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the company’s founder and creative director to set goals and make key decisions
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business 
• Manage staff from different departments (hosts, assistants, sales, admin) and provide constructive feedback
• Regularly evaluate efficiency of business procedures and initiate improvements
• Oversee the sales process and monitor client satisfaction in partnership with Sales Manager
• Review financial information and set budgets
• Formulate, revise, and implement company legal and operational policies
• Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
 
Requirements and Skills
• Proven success as an operations director or project manager
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
• Outstanding communication and people skills
• Knowledge of event industry and comfort with goal setting
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
